Will Smith will collaborate with YouTube Originals for a six-episode fitness series.

On Monday, rapper/actor Will Smith made a splash on social media when he posted a photo exposing his stomach. The picture wasn’t exactly flattering–it’s pretty much normal for a 52-year old, but a far cry from his ripped physique in his numerous blockbusters. “I’m gonna be real wit yall,” he wrote on Instagram, “I’m in the worst shape of my life.” Stars like Ava DuVernay left praise in the comments, congratulating him on the transparency. On Tuesday, however, his Westbrook Media production company revealed that he’ll be documenting his fitness journey in an upcoming YouTube Originals series.

Tentatively titled Best Shape of My Life, the show is described as “fun, funny, inspirational, wildly adventurous, and deeply entertaining.” The six-episode project will explore Smith “challenging himself to improve every aspect of his fitness, from agility to power to recovery and more.” The series is expected to premiere in 2022 on YouTube.

The Dexton Deboree-directed series will be Smith’s second project with YouTube. In 2018, he filmed himself bungee jumping from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon in Will Smith: The Jump.

“This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing through the pantry,” Smith wrote on Instagram. “I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the best shape of my life!”
