Master P can now add a college degree to his lengthy resume.
On Sunday (May 23), Percy Miller received a honorary doctorate degree in humane letters after graduating from Pennsylvania’s HBCU, Lincoln University.
Dr. P posted a recap footage from the ceremony, which featured six valedictorians and over 400 graduates including Gloria Carter, co-founder and executive director of the Shawn Carter Foundation (SCF), renowned professor and author Michael Eric Dyson, and former Lincoln University professor Charles V. Hamilton.
He wrote, “I guess I got to change my name to, Dr. P. Miller. From the projects to getting a Doctoral degree from @lincolnuniversityofpa. Don’t be afraid to change, grow and educate yourself. I did it ! You can do it. #GODISGOOD #Nevertoolate #hbcu #NoLimit There is NO limit to your dreams #DRPMiller.”, he added.
The rap mogul, producer, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist founded No Limit Records in 1990 and has sold over 100 million records from music artists including himself, Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, Silk The Shocker, and more.
Over the years, Percy Miller has also invested in numerous companies in music, sports, fashion, media technology, food, and hopes to own a HBCU one day. “Well, you know I always wanted to own an NBA team, but now I want to own an HBCU. It’s so important that we educate the culture”, he told his followers on Instagram. Uhh!
